University of British Columbia: Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology

The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of British Columbia invite applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is based in Vancouver, BC.

The incumbent must have a PhD degree, a minimum of 2-3 years of postdoctoral research experience, and a record of accomplishment that demonstrates their potential as an independent researcher.

Candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of contemporary Biochemistry or Molecular Biology are encouraged to apply. All members of the Department maintain active, well-funded research programs that encompass many areas of modern biochemistry, molecular and structural biology. A broad range of research interests will be considered for this position. The successful applicant will show demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and will be expected to contribute to undergraduate teaching in the department (equivalent to 1 course per year) and to participate in departmental committees.

The anticipate start date is January 1, 2018 or upon a date to be mutually agreed. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
