Ideally, we seek a candidate who can articulate the principles of green chemistry in courses they would teach. Teaching requirements could include General Chemistry for first-year students and courses in other area(s) depending on the specific interests and qualifications. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at UTSC is a multidisciplinary unit comprised of four primary groups: Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies and Physics and Astronomy. For more information about our department and faculty, please visit our home page: http://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/physsci/ The successful candidate will also become a member of the University of Toronto tri-campus Graduate Department of Chemistry (https://www.chem.utoronto.ca/grad/), and will be actively involved in graduate supervision. The University of Toronto Scarborough is a research-intensive institution with an interdisciplinary commitment, a multicultural student body, and a modern campus. The research laboratory and office of the successful candidate will be located in the recently opened Environmental Science and Chemistry building on UTSC’s North campus. The University offers the opportunity to conduct research, teach, and live in one of the most diverse cities in the world.
All qualified applicants should apply online by clicking on the link below. A complete application must include: a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a research proposal, preferably written in five-page NSERC Discovery Grant format, and a teaching dossier. If you have questions about this position, please contact Ms. Rose Jones at rjones@utsc.utoronto.ca.
Submission guidelines can be found at: http://uoft.me/how-to-apply. We recommend combining attached documents into one or two files in PDF/MS Word format.
