Simon Fraser University: Nuclear Medicinal Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at Simon Fraser University together with the Life Sciences division of TRIUMF, Canada's national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics, invite applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Nuclear Medicinal Chemistry. With the goal of leading our expansion into nuclear medicine, it is our vision that this jointly funded position will strengthen the connection between SFU’s Nuclear Science Program and TRIUMF. The appointment is intended to take effect in September 2018, subject to final budgetary approval.

Outstanding candidates with a commitment to excellence in research and teaching are being sought for this position. The successful candidate will make use of the Life Science facilities at TRIUMF, and state-of-the-art research facilities at SFU (e.g. SFU High-Throughput Screening Facility, 4D Labs), to develop and maintain both an innovative, externally funded research program, and an excellent teaching record at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in Chemistry. Candidates working broadly in the area of nuclear medicine are encouraged to apply. All applicants will have a PhD degree and will normally have relevant. postdoctoral or industrial experience.
