Institutional Requirements:
To be considered for appointment, the candidate must wholeheartedly endorse the Mission Statement and the Statement of Faith of the University (see http://www.kingsu.ca/about-us/). The successful candidate must demonstrate graduate level course work in the areas of teaching or related experience. A Ph.D. in chemistry is required. Candidates with post-doctoral experience are preferred.

Teaching Load: Four term courses or equivalent per year, including labs and seminars.

Particulars of the Position:
The successful candidate should be able to teach courses in two of physical, inorganic, or analytical chemistry along with introductory chemistry and a desire to develop courses at new interfaces with chemistry. She or he will be required to work closely with other faculty to deliver courses and contribute to the interdisciplinary learning environment. The successful candidate will be committed to a faith-based approach to teaching and learning in the discipline and is expected to develop a program of scholarship. The faculty at The King’s University are recognized for involving undergraduate students in their scholarship, with an expectation that faculty members will apply for external funding to support their research.

Appointment: Subject to budget approval.

The King’s University is a Christian liberal arts university offering three and four-year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Music, and a two-year after-degree Bachelor of Education (Elementary and Secondary) accredited by the province of Alberta. The University is a member of Universities Canada and of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. Faculty members at The King’s University are eligible for and are currently receiving Tri-Council funding. The faculty at The King’s University are recognized for involving undergraduate students in their scholarship, with some faculty members having obtained external funding.
