Ryerson University: 12 month limited term faculty position

The Department of Chemistry and Biology at Ryerson University invites applications for a 12 month Limited Term Faculty (LTF) position in Chemistry. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level and will commence August 1, 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Individuals with a cumulative total of more than three years of previous service at Ryerson University as an LTF are not eligible for consideration in this competition. The position is subject to final budgetary approval. 

The successful candidate for the Chemistry LTF is expected to have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and post-secondary teaching experience. The position will only have teaching and service obligations, with teaching consisting of a range of instruction of first year general chemistry courses.

Completed applications will consist of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of the applicant's teaching philosophy and experience, and the names and contact information of three referees. A single .pdf attachment is preferred. Please indicate in your cover letter if you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. Please also state in your cover letter that you are applying for position in Chemistry.
