Position # 20210I – The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a 9.5-month contractually limited position at the rank of Instructor effective August 1, 2018 – May 15, 2019. The successful candidate should have a minimum of a laboratory-based MSc degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry. Previous teaching experience is highly preferred.

The successful candidate will teach 8 laboratory course sections and one lecture course section during the academic year, namely: introductory chemistry laboratory (fall semester, 5 sections), organic chemistry II laboratory (winter semester, 2 sections), and both the lecture and laboratory components of introductory biochemistry (winter semester, 1 lecture and 1 laboratory section). The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical aspects of laboratory preparation, and management of associated teaching assistants. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly activities and serve on committees within the Department of Chemistry/Acadia University.
