Trent University: 1-year limited-term appointment in the field of Forensic Chemistry

Trent University invites applications for a 1-year limited-term appointment in the field of Forensic Chemistry to be cross-appointed in the Department of Chemistry and the Forensic Science Program at the rank of Assistant Professor to start August 15, 2019.  This position is subject to budgetary approval.  A completed Ph.D. with relevant teaching experience or equivalent, are required.  Priority will be given to applicants who have completed a Ph.D. degree in Forensic Chemistry or in Chemistry with an expertise in instrumental analytical and forensic chemistry or a closely related field.  The successful candidate will teach a total of six term-length courses in the 2019-2020 academic year (Fall, Winter, Summer).  These courses may include, but are not restricted to, Analytical Chemistry, Spectrophotometry and Spectroscopy, Forensic Chemistry, Advanced Topics in Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Toxicology, Advanced Forensic Toxicology and Molecules of Murder.  Demonstrated teaching experience at the interface of forensic science and chemistry is an important asset as are a strong working knowledge of analytical chemistry theory and forensic practices.
