About the Position

The Chemistry Department invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track appointment in Computational Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2020.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD or the equivalent and possess a strong commitment to teaching, research and scholarship. The successful candidate will be an effective teacher at the undergraduate and graduate levels, develop an externally funded, high quality research program and contribute effectively to the academic life of the Department. Candidates will be expected to teach core courses and higher level courses in computational methods. The application of computational methods to the Department’s strengths in nanoscience, surface chemistry, polymers and inorganic materials, mass spectrometry and health sciences is of particular interest as is a commitment to interdisciplinary research.
