Christopher Rowley Hired by Carleton University

Congratulations to Dr. Christopher Rowley, who has been hired as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Carleton University. Dr. Rowley completed his B.Sc. at Carleton in 2004, then completed a Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa. He held an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Chicago under the supervision of Professor Benoit Roux. He began his independent career as an Assistant Professor at the Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2012. He has published extensively on the development of new computational methods, models for the covalent modification of proteins, membrane permeation, and reaction mechanisms. He has served as a member of the Compute Canada Resource Allocation Committee, the National Academies of Sciences Panel Allocation of Supercomputing Time for the Study of Molecular Dynamics, work has been recognized by the ACS OpenEye Young Investigator Award and the MGMS Frank Blaney Award.
