About the position

The Department of Chemistry at Brock University invites applications for a probationary tenure track position in any area of Experimental Physical Chemistry. Applications will be considered at the rank of Assistant Professor from individuals with a PhD degree in Chemistry or related discipline and post-doctoral experience. The appointment will commence on or after July 1, 2022, subject to final budgetary approval. Successful applicants will have a strong research and teaching background in physical chemistry. An ability and willingness to support teaching and research in both physical and biophysical chemistry is an asset.
Applicants are expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to develop and maintain a thriving, externally funded, research program.

About the department

The Department (brocku.ca/mathematics-science/chemistry/) offers B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry. It has a strong interdisciplinary research focus and runs The Centre for Biotechnology (brocku.ca/mathematics-science/biotechnology/) jointly with the Department of Biological Sciences. The Centre offers B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biotechnology. Research within the Department is supported by modern laboratories and state-of-the-art analytical services and instrumentation.
