Job Description

The Department of Chemistry of Université Laval invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in chemistry. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or postdoctoral experience relevant to this field. The successful candidate is expected to teach, in French, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop an outstanding research program in chemistry.

Selection criterias

Applicants must:

  • have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or postdoctoral experience relevant to this field;
  • be able to teach in French, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, or be able to rapidly develop the capacity to do so (French courses are offered by the university to facilitate the integration of new non-French-speaking professors);
  • have recently published research articles;
  • be able to develop a strong research program in a field of chemistry;
  • be able to interact effectively with existing groups and research centers.

Salary according to the current collective agreement.
