Université de Sherbrooke: Two positions: bio-geochemistry, green chemistry and catalysis, self-assembled and functional materials, electrochemistry, photonics and molecular modelling as well as organic, organometallic and inorganic synthesis.

The Université de Sherbrooke invites applications for two full time tenure-track professor positions in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science.

The Department of Chemistry has recently been completely renovated (2016) to offer modern research and teaching laboratories. QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field. 
  • Postdoctoral experience. 
  • Exceptional skills for research to develop an innovative, independent, externally funded, and internationally recognized research program. 
  • Strong pedagogical skills and enthusiasm for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 
  • Potential and desire to develop interactions with other professors in the Department of Chemistry and the Faculty of Sciences. Note: The ability to teach in French, or to rapidly achieve this ability (2 years), is required. 

Start date: June 1st 2021
