The Université de Sherbrooke invites applications for two full
time tenure-track professor positions in the Department of
Chemistry, Faculty of Science.

The Department of Chemistry at Université de Sherbrooke offers an
exceptional environment for research and teaching, with more than
160 B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, an internationally recognized

facilities at the cutting edge of technology. Faculty members at the
Department of Chemistry have been awarded research chairs,
fellowships and grants that testify to the quality of their research in
bio-geochemistry, green chemistry and catalysis, self-assembled
and functional materials, electrochemistry, photonics and molecular
modelling as well as organic, organometallic and inorganic
synthesis.

The Department of Chemistry has recently been completely
renovated (2016) to offer modern research and teaching
laboratories. Researchers at the Department of Chemistry enjoy
cutting edge infrastructure and services for analytical chemistry,
chemistry of materials, optics and photonics. Our researchers
belong to various centers of excellence and strategic networks
enabling access to the full array of resources available in Québec.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
- Postdoctoral experience.
- Exceptional skills for research to develop an innovative,
independent, externally funded, and internationally recognized
research program.
- Strong pedagogical skills and enthusiasm for teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Potential and desire to develop interactions with other
professors in the Department of Chemistry and the Faculty of
Sciences.
Note: The ability to teach in French, or to rapidly achieve this ability
(2 years), is required.
