York University: Tenure Track Faculty Position in Physical and/or Analytical Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry, in the Faculty of Science at York University, invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of Physical and/or Analytical Chemistry, to commence July 1, 2017. Of particular interest would be candidates whose research would complement York’s historic and existing strengths in atmospheric chemistry and mass spectrometry. The successful candidate is expected to hold the Guy Warwick Rogers Chair in Chemistry for a five-year term, renewable subject to review.
The Department seeks candidates who demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly research. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry, post-doctoral experience in relevant areas, an outstanding research record and must be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an excellent and innovative research program, secure and maintain external peer-reviewed research funding, recruit and supervise graduate students, and contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
