Trent University: Environmental Chemistry (1-year teaching term)

Trent University invites applications for a 1-year limited term appointment in the field of Environmental Chemistry to be cross-appointed in the Trent School of The Environment (TSE) and the Department of Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor to start July 1, 2018. This position is subject to budgetary approval.  A completed Ph.D. and relevant teaching experience are required.  The successful candidate will teach a total of six term-length courses in the 2018-2019 academic year (Fall, Winter, Summer). These courses may include, but are not restricted to, The Geochemistry of Natural Waters, The Fate of Contaminants in Aquatic Environments, Atmospheric Chemistry, and Introductory Chemistry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to supervise Reading Course (independent study) students and students within an undergraduate Honour’s thesis, if they so desire. It is also envisaged that the successful candidate will utilize the Trent Water Quality Centre and, ideally, will connect their teaching and research to the broader interdisciplinary activities of the TSE and the Chemistry Department.
