Brandon University: 1 year teaching term

Applications are invited for a one-year term position in the area of Analytical/Physical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, effective August 1, 2021, or as mutually agreed. The Department offers B.Sc. and B.Sc. (Honours) degree programs with Majors and Minors in Chemistry. Applicants should consult the Brandon University course calendar for more information on program offerings.

Teaching responsibilities: The ideal candidate should be able to teach the lecture and laboratory sections of Physical Chemistry I (18:260 in BU Undergrad Course Calendar), Analytical Chemistry (18:262 in BU Undergrad Course Calendar), Instrumental Chemistry (18:362 in BU Undergrad Course Calendar) as well as General Chemistry (18:160 in BU Undergrad Course Calendar).

Research & Service responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for internal research funding, to supervise undergraduate honours projects in Chemistry, and to participate on faculty committees.

Rank and Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Qualifications: A minimum of a Ph.D. in Chemistry or other Chemistry related discipline. Experience in undergraduate teaching would be an asset. Experience teaching Physical Chemistry, Analytical and Instrumental laboratories would be an asset.
