Université du Québec à Montréal: Electrochemistry, experimental or theoretical/computational

Start date is July 1st 2020, subject to budgetary approval by the University.UQAM is seeking outstanding candidates to maintain a level of excellence in all fields of activity.
The Département de Chimie at the Université du Québec à Montréal invites applications for a full-time Tenure-Track Professor position in electrochemistry. The candidate must propose a research program mainly in the field of electrochemistry (experimental or theoretical/computational) and will benefit from access to NanoQAM, an institutional research centre, which hosts a suite of equipment for materials synthesis and characterization (www.nanoqam.uqam.ca).
POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Teaching and supervision at the undergraduate, master and Ph.D. levels
  • Research in the field of electrochemistry (experimental or theoretical/computational)
  • Service to the department, Faculty, University and community
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field
  • Postdoctoral or industrial experience
  • Ability to teach electrochemistry
  • Ability to develop a dynamic and international research program that could be funded by major funding agencies
  • Excellent publication track record
  • Ability to establish internal and external collaborations
  • Ability to teach and communicate in French. Courses are taught in French. UQAM provides support to new faculty to attain proficiency in French.
STARTING DATE: On or after July 1st 2020
