The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor appointment in theoretical or computational chemistry beginning July 1, 2024, subject to budgetary approval.

 

The Department welcomes applicants who have demonstrated excellence in research in any area of theoretical or computational chemistry.

 

The successful candidate will be assigned to teach undergraduate courses in the Honours Chemistry program and will be expected to contribute teaching to the MSc in Chemistry and PhD in Biological and Chemical Sciences programs. The successful candidate should have excellent potential in both teaching and research and will be expected to attract external funding and develop an active research program including supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching responsibilities may be multicampus with course delivery at Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton campuses.

 

 

Qualification for the positions include a PhD Degree in Chemistry, and preferably postdoctoral research experience in theoretical or computational chemistry or related areas.
